Delta II Rocket launch with GPS 2R M8 Satellite Payload

This was the launch of the last Delta II for the USAF and the last of the GPS 2 series of satellites. The Launch Viewing Press Site was shut for this event so we headed down to Cocoa Beach for the dawn launch of the Delta II with 6 ground solid rocket boosters and 3 air lit SRMs. As usual with GPS launches the countdown went as planned and the space craft was hurled into orbit on time.

The video clearly shows the separation of both the Ground lit SRBs and the air lit Solid Rocket Motors.
