Wired4Space is a new portal bringing you news and information from the Spaceports of the world. We have editors based in the USA and Europe, with our resident Florida Editor, Jeff, based in Titusville on the Space Coast just a few miles from the complexes of Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
Our prime objective is to consolidate and educate by bringing you the news and events happening in space, with a particular emphasis on Rocket Launches and Missions. We do not only cover the current events we also take a look back into the past to trace the history of Space Exploration from the V2 and its derivatives up to the Space Shuttle and its successors.
Despite the end of an era looming with the last few flights of the Space Shuttle the future still looks bright for human exploration of space. There are a number of public/private projects coming up and whilst the US Constellation program has been shut down there are/will be other programs to replace it. When the future of manned flight and reaching beyond Earth’s orbit is being decided there is still a full schedule of Rocket Launches with civilian and military payloads.
Viewing a rocket launch is a incredible experience. One of our aims is to help you view a launch, both by providing information on the upcoming launches, and telling you where the best places to view a particular launch can be found. If you are not lucky enough to be in the vicinity during a launch window then we will endeavour to cover the launches bringing you pictures and video through out the year.
Enjoy,
Mike, Jeff and the Wired4Space team.
