This week will be a busy week at the Kennedy Space Center as the final preparations are underway for the final flight of Space Shuttle Discovery. Unlike most of its previous flights Discovery will launch from the Shuttle Landing Facility piggy-backed on top of a specially converted 747 Jumbo Jet.
There will be a lot of preparations taking place to get Discovery on top of the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft prior to lift off at 7am on the 17th April. Discovery will arrive at Dulles International Airport in Washing DC at about 11am after doing a fly past of the city.
